Resawn Timber Exhibit Booth
We partnered with reSAWN Timber to create a trade show booth that reimagines traditional residential design with a simple a-frame vernacular. Entirely hewn from solid wood, the booth uses exterior siding and roof cladding made from AJI shou sugi ban Accoya, a Japanese style and process of using wood that is burnt on the surface, named shou sugi ban.
The booth showcases a sleek conjoining of wall siding and roof cladding. The light color tone of the interior blends with unfinished Glu-Laminated timber studs, accenting the powder-coated steel ties. Images of reSAWN’s projects and materials were hung on the interior walls in addition to a center kiosk for staff and visitors to mingle, educate, and learn.
The booth highlights the seamless transition between the siding and roof cladding.
