Knickerbocker Commercial Building

The Knickerbocker Commercial building will be factory-built, shipped, erected and assembled on site in Brooklyn. The prefabricated commercial building brings 10,000SF of office space to East Williamsburg. Located two blocks from the Morgan Avenue L subway station, this four-story building is assembled from nine modular boxes, fabricated in Connecticut.

The boxes are clad with machine-like profiled aluminum facade panels that mirror vertically creating a subtle texture that wraps around the entire building. Horizontal window cuts are inserted into layered bands that track around the facade breaking and stacking the composition. An open roof deck is lined with plantings capping the building with a contrastingly soft edge as it stretches toward the sky.
